New Jersey Day has always been scheduled on Monday right after Recognition.  Volunteering parents normally arrive before the last day of Recognition, so they can watch cadets running to/from the Rock, and performing the Retreat Ceremony on Tzo.  It is a very happy time for firsties and doolies,  a great chance to catch lots of smiles in photos/videos.
